Beware of degrading your coolant by using deteriorated water

It is that time of the year again, when fresh water lever is low, which leads to salty tab water.

Besides consuming, fresh water is used in many factories as raw materials. Contributed to over 80-95% in the coolant, water plays a vital role in coolant performance. Focus Mechanic advice customers to use RO water, which has less than 15 ml/l of Chloride, in preparing their coolant emulsion. Still most customers use tab water. With the standard Chloride value of less than 250 ml/l. from the water department, this is still somewhat acceptable. However some time the chloride value actually exceeds the limit. This brings detrimental effects to your coolant eg. unstable emulsion and rust.

Focus Mechanic strongly recommends customer to check the value of their tab water before use. We are also happy to carry out the test for our customers if they would send the sample of their water to us.
